Missing Ant

Somehow, I missed this shot. I think because it was a bit dark. Or maybe because it’s not quite in focus. I lightened it up some and thought it was interesting because the ant is all alone. Is he scouting? Or luxuriating in his sole ownership of the flower? Probably not that. Or…maybe.

The “Last Dance”

All the rehearsals are done and she is now on her last weekend of performances. Bittersweet, but the toll of dance on life is immeasurable. There is no such thing as a nurturing dance environment–it’s competitive, consuming, and compelling. In any event, these are just snaps from the rehearsal last night.

Bambi

So I walked out in back and I hear all this scrambling. I look up and see this “Bambi!” I slide back into the house for a camera and take this snap! Not great but all that I really had time to do. Now I think I know why growing veggies is hard!

Kelsey’s Hip Hop Recital

As the year closed out, the Hip Hop class put on its final performance in the school cafeteria. I am guessing that those walls seldom hear that kind of music. She did great and we are very, very proud!

Hip Hop!

Kelsey had the first of two Hip Hop Recitals. This is the class where she’s actually a “Teacher’s Assistant.” This was a fun show and she had a ball. My schedule has finally tilted though.
